Описание: Atal Tunnel Snowfall 2026 Update ❄️

When we visited Atal Tunnel the next day after Solang Valley, snowfall had stopped but the entire area was still covered in 3–4 feet of snow. Due to heavy snowfall earlier, only 4x4 vehicles were allowed inside the North Portal area.

We reached Palchan late around 11 AM and traffic had already started building up. Since 4x2 vehicles were restricted at that time, we hired a Jimny taxi on a sharing basis (₹5000 total, 4 people sharing) which made it budget friendly.

The roads were cleared by snow cutters but huge walls of snow were piled up on both sides. Every mountain, field and open area was completely white.

Sissu is closed till 28 Feb and roads are open only till Darcha for 4x4 vehicles. The North Portal was full of Jimny taxis as most Manali drivers prefer them for snow conditions.

We spent 2 hours enjoying snow near the frozen Chandra River. Tourists of all ages were making snowman, sliding and enjoying the winter vibes.

While returning, huge traffic near Solang Valley delayed us for 40 minutes and we had to walk 1 km to reach our parked car.
