In an unprecedented late-night move, the Election Commission of India has reshuffled top bureaucratic positions in the state immediately after the election announcement.

The Chief Secretary and the Home Secretary of the state have been removed in a dramatic decision taken on Sunday midnight. Nandini Chakraborty has been replaced by Dushmanta Nariyala as the new Chief Secretary.

Similarly, Jagdish Prasad Meena has been replaced by Sanghamitra Ghosh as the new Home Secretary.
