Breaking Band is dedicated to bringing you the best new breakout bands of the year, giving them an opportunity to perform their debut live broadcast - with one of their rock star idols.

This is the one and only place to watch rock stars mentor up and coming musicians before they take the stage for the biggest gig of their career.

Each week we will feature a new breakout band performance. But here's the twist...we surprise each band with a legendary rock star whom turns up to guide them through the big show. The bands have no idea prior until we reveal them after sound check.

To add more pressure, the rock star throws down the gauntlet and challenges the band to perform an encore with them. They get one rehearsal and that night have to play live in front of a crowd and an even bigger broadcast audience.
