Video 1 of 2 recorded around 11:00am, beginning near Loup Canal and moving upstream towards the confluence of the Loup and Platte Rivers. This is the first of two videos.
Melting was noted during the few hours of recording, with the stream starting to open upstream of Hwy 81. About half of the width of the Loup River at the Hwy 81 bridge was open water.
