Описание: I’ve loved this song for so many years, long before the recent Wicked phenomenon. It’s always felt like such a tender reminder of the impact we have on each other.

When I was in secondary school, I had a best friend called Connor. We shared so much together and kept each other safe during those unpredictable school years… and then one day towards the end of our time at school, he decided that when we left, he would cut all ties with everyone for a fresh start, including me. I remember being devastated. I spent days lying on my bedroom floor listening to this song on repeat, trying to make sense of it. And when we did leave school, he did exactly that. I never saw or heard from him again.

Every time I sing or hear this, I think of him. Wherever he is now, I hope he’s healed the part of himself that was so frightened to continue to be my friend.
