Water Line Break in Puerto Vallarta

Sometime early in the morning hours before the tourists have even stirred from their previous night out on the town, a water line gave up and let loose with a flow that found paths a significant distance from the break and then found little cracks and other means of reaching the surface. This resulted in a flood covering several blocks in each direction. I first learned of the break at 8:00 AM when friends joined me for coffee a few blocks away. About 90 minutes later when coffee was sufficiently finished I walks past to see what was happening and this is what I found. After breakfast and some conversation of about 2 hours I passed by again to find that the water company, Seapal, had arrived and opened the street to repair the issue. Now it's a matter of waiting for some parts and the broken pipe will be fixed. Later in the afternoon service was restored and the holes filled in waiting for the cobblestone to be reset in cement. By tomorrow this corner will have only a scar remaining showing fresh cement covering a couple places in the pavement.
