Whilst the weather was somewhat nice and it has been a little while since we went out for a proper scoot, I wanted to make the most of it and share the journey with you all.
Covering just over 20 miles on the Max on this ride, I had it in sport mode all the way with hacked firmware to give it a little more power on the hilly terrain. At the end of the trip, I had 20% battery remaining and according to the app I had 8 miles range left. So realistically 5 miles in my area.
The Mercane with it's wider wheels is a little let manoeuvrable, however, once you learn it's style of riding, you will be able to take it most places. Except lose gravel haha. his scooter covered about 15 miles on this trip and was pretty much ready for a charge.

A couple of drinks along the way and exploring my new area to find efficient routes around.
As you can see, we do not just stick to roads, we push our scooters to the limits.
Both the Max and the Widewheel Pro are designed for commuting and shouldn't be abused like we do.
When buying either one of these commuter scooters, you really wanna take into consideration what you want to do with it.
I like the Max because the range is astounding. I want to be able to go further. However, the speed does drop off after 80% from 18mph to 16mph and does lose power on the hills and worse when you have a little more weight to carry. Hub motor is just 350Watts.
I was considering a full range test, however, I think this has been done a fair bit for the Max and do not find it realistic for most people. This ride is a realistic test for most.
The Widewheel has 2 hub motors with a combined output of 1000Watts and reached speeds up to 25/26MPH, also, suspension built-in which is needed when the wheels are solid rubber. The power is great for most applications and getting you up those hills with minimal speed losses (depending on gradient), but the range is where it fails. Also, the brakes are a little annoying with the constant adjusting as you go.
I will be doing a range test with me behind the bars in the near future. :)
