Conrad Asotie Omonhinmin is a Professor of Plant Biotechnology with particular interest in under-exploited African species; Biodiversity conservation, Molecular Systematics, and Big data in Molecular Biology. An Environmental Impact Assessor, a senior faculty, the Head, Biotechnology Research Cluster at Covenant University and the current Director, for Research, Innovation and Discovery at Covenant (CUCRID).

He is actively involved in Open Science/Access advocacy for future and better African contribution to Science, Technology, Engineering Mathematics and the Arts and Social Sciences; the National Contact Person OA2020, and Co-ordinator, Open Science at Covenant University.

He is a consummate biodiversity conservationist, and educationist with a drive for the transformation of African Higher Education, particularly in Research-based, Open and future education. A contemporary multidisciplinary academic researcher and regionally and globally collaborator for infrastructure and capacity development in Education management and institutional audits, Student management, Staff development, Curriculum development, Qualitative research, Scholarly communication, and Progressive academia leadership experience. He is a biostatistician with expertise in statistical reasoning, a seasoned counselor and Life Coach.
