An Auspicious Visit by His Holiness Khöndung Ratna Vajra Sakya Rinpoche

We were deeply honored to welcome His Holiness the Sakya Trizin, Khöndung Ratna Vajra Rinpoche to Kyabje Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche’s School for Himalayan Children (SMD School) on 4 August 2025.

The day began with an auspicious prayer and a heartfelt cultural performance by our students, setting a warm and joyful tone. His Holiness then shared precious teachings with the SMD family. One of the messages that deeply touched our hearts was: “Education is important, but along with that, we must maintain a kind heart and become good human beings, as that is the most important quality in life.”

Following the teaching, our students and staff received blessings from His Holiness. The visit concluded with a group photo - a memory we will cherish for years to come. We are deeply grateful to His Holiness Ratna Vajra Rinpoche for his time, guidance, and blessings. His presence brought immense joy, inspiration, and warmth to the SMD Family.
