Don’t throw away that spent holiday planter! In this video, I’m giving a big-box store seasonal arrangement a second life by deconstructing it and saving every single plant. The key lesson? These pre-made planters are designed for temporary display, not for long-term growth together. Each plant has different water, light, and soil needs, and they’ll eventually decline if left potted as one.
Join me as I carefully separate and repot all five individual plants from one holiday container. I’ll show you how to assess root health, choose the right soil, and give each plant a proper home where it can truly thrive.
But the project doesn’t stop there! I’m also sharing a creative and whimsical DIY: using a beautiful doll-sized willow chair to create a stunning ivy topiary with the trailing plant from the planter. It’s the perfect way to add a unique, fairy-tale touch to your indoor or sheltered outdoor space!
In This Video, You’ll Learn:
✅ Why you MUST separate mixed holiday planters.
✅ Step-by-step deconstruction and repotting techniques.
✅ How to identify and meet the separate needs of each rescued plant.
✅ A creative DIY project: Turning ivy and a miniature chair into a living topiary.
