Hi All.....
I would like to share this recipe for making Chicken Curry in an Instant Pot. It's faster than cooking on a Stove top.
Ingredient List:
1 whole chicken(around 2kg), cut into small pieces
2 tablespoon coconut oil or Ghee
1 bunch of coriander leaves, chopped
2 medium onion, diced
2 medium tomato, grind into smooth paste
5 green chilies chopped.
1 tablespoon of red chili powder
1 tablespoon of salt
1 teaspoon of turmeric
1 tablespoon of Garam masala powder
1 tablespoon of Corriander powder
1 tablespoon of Chicken masala powder
2 tablespoons of Ginger-garlic paste
Directions
Turn on an instantpot pressure cooker and select the Saute function.
Add the oil and allow it to heat up for a minute. Add the fennel seeds, mustard seed.
Add onion and cook until soft and translucent, about 3 minutes. Add ginger garlic paste and saute about 5 minutes.
Add Chicken masala, Coriander, Chili powder, salt, Garam masala, Turmeric.
Add tomato sauce and saute for a few mins.
Add chicken and let it saute for around 5 mins.
Add half a cup of water.
Close and lock the lid. Select pressure cook mood Set the timer for 5 minutes.
Once the pressure cook is done. Release pressure using the natural-release method 10 to 20 minutes or quick release the pressure.
Switch to Saute mode, and let it saute for a few more minutes.
Add chopped coriander and serve hot!
Goes well with rice, rotis and naans!
