We kicked off from Kamrej early in the morning with one goal in mind: reaching the Statue of Unity. Seeing the 182-meter Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel statue in person is a humbling experience—the scale is simply mind-blowing! After spending the day exploring the viewing gallery and the surrounding valley, the real challenge began.
As the sun started to set, we pushed north towards Rajasthan. Finding a place to stay turned into an unexpected adventure. Most nearby towns were fully booked or lacked decent options, leading us deep into the rural roads. Finally, after a long night ride, we crossed the border and found refuge at Hotel Dhruv Palace in Simalwara, Rajasthan.
