Uthralikkavu refers to the Sree Ruthira Mahakalikavu Temple (also known as Uthralikkavu Sree Bhagavathy Temple), an ancient Devi shrine in Thrissur district, Kerala. 
Location: Situated in the village of Engakkadu, near Wadakkanchery in Thrissur district, Kerala, amidst a scenic setting of paddy fields, highlands, and hills.

Deity: Dedicated to Goddess Rudhiramahakali, a form of Goddess Kali.

History & Legend: The temple is estimated to be 500-1000 years old. Legends include the discovery of the idol in a forest and a story about a landlord named Kelathachan placing the idol of Goddess Mookambika near a ridge where the Goddess chose to stay. The open-air sanctum sanctorum is a unique feature.

Uthralikkavu Pooram: The temple is famous for its annual Pooram festival in February/March. This eight-day event includes processions with decorated elephants, traditional music like Panchavadyam and Pandimelam, temple and folk art performances, and fireworks.

Sister Shrine: Uthralikkavu Temple is considered a "sister shrine" to Machad Thiruvanikavu, located 4 kilometers away, with their festivals celebrated together.

Importance: Uthralikkavu Pooram is regarded as the second most attended pooram in Kerala. Despite its location, the temple and its festival attract significant public and media attention.
