Liberal MP Nicolle Flint condemns sexism in viral video post

Описание: Liberal MP Nicolle Flint says she's frustrated she, and other prominent women, are still dealing with sexist comments about their appearance.

Ms Flint posted a one-minute video to Twitter to protest what she condemned as "rubbish" sexist remarks made about her appearance made in an article ABC broadcaster and News Limited columnist Peter Goers.

Mr Goers criticised her "vast wardrobe of blazers, coats and tight, black, ankle-freezing trousers and stiletto heels".

The video received support from across the political spectrum, with many politicians agreeing women should not be judged on their appearance.

Ms Flint told Sky News the more politicians to speak out against sexist commentary, the less common it will become.

"It annoys me so much," she said.

"Quite frankly, this is the least important issue our nation is facing ... it's heartbreaking what our small businesses have gone through this year.

"Someone like Peter Goers the most important thing he can spend his column he can spend his Sundays doing is attacking me for smiling and wearing pearl earrings and how I dress.

"I was under the impression that is 2020, not the year 1920."
