Something Sweet Is Coming… Greenhouse Prep Day

Описание: Spring greenhouse work is underway as we prepare one of our tomato houses for the upcoming season. This greenhouse will soon be filled with grape tomatoes, so today is all about getting everything ready before planting begins.

In this video we spend the day cleaning up the greenhouse, replacing plugged drip emitters, and carrying in perlite grow bags that the plants will be transplanted into. Getting the irrigation system working properly and preparing the growing area is an important step before we can bring in the plants for transplant day.

Along the way we take a quick look at my broken-down box truck with a bad turbo and an older engine in the barn that may provide the parts needed to get it back on the road. I also share the story of why we started using Ellepots for our seedless watermelon, what they are, where we purchased them and why they work so well for seedless watermelon transplants.

Later that evening we stop back at the starter greenhouse to see it lit up for the night, briefly mention the type of grow lights I'm using and the video finishes with a visit to my brother Joel’s sugar shack on the final day of maple sap collecting and boiling for the season.
