Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi opened the debate on the no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reply to the motion on August 10 and Home Minister Amit Shah on August 9. The Opposition alliance, Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), had moved a no-confidence motion against PM Modi’s government late July over his silence on the ongoing ethnic violence in Manipur.
