My piece is inspired by the haunting scene in the horror movie Cabin Fever, where something as ordinary as shaving transforms into a horrifying moment of vulnerability. The art pushes beyond surface-level fear into the psychological terror of fragility, vulnerability, and the anxiety of losing control over your own body.

For this prompt, I leaned into horror aesthetics: sharp ink strokes, raw texture, and red highlights to emphasize tension. The theme of shaving isn’t about grooming here—it’s about fear, anxiety, and how everyday rituals can hide a lurking darkness.

In this video, I’ll walk you through how I combined stark black ink with unsettling textures and vivid red to create a piece that feels eerie, intimate, and disturbing. It’s art that makes you uncomfortable on purpose—just like good horror should.
