Phillip Island Track Day 8 October 2024, Session 2 Getting The Hang of It.

Описание: Day 2 of my 2024 visit to Phillip Island and thank you weather gods. It's dry all day and the gusting wind has calmed. I'm back on my usual Dunlop KR108 200/70 rear and KR106 120/70 front slicks. I've also returned to my trusted dry settings and full power, although I have an aftermarket muffler installed and no tune to suit.

Last time I visited in Nov '22 I managed a best time 1:53ish so I had a base target of under 1:50 given the improved setup and tyres. I also had an ambition of 1:45 which would be near my ability to ride at ASBK plus 10% at Morgan Park. Not quite there with a best of 1:46.688 but I'm sure with more time (and lose the 5kg I put on recently) I can improve. This track is very fast and I am lacking the anatomy to maintain the speed entering the fast turns 1, 3, 7, 8, 9, and 12 required for race like pace (so everywhere).

The camera again was interfering with the GPS signal but the data logger has all the laps. I'll caption times for each lap, turn them on if you're interested.
