CZ believes AI hasn’t fully integrated with crypto yet — but the first real wedge is AI agents, because agents will create massive, high-speed transactions: subscriptions, paywalls, donations, tickets, and more. At that scale, we need faster chains and smoother settlement rails.
CZ’s blunt truth:
AI won’t use credit cards.
AI won’t use bank accounts.
AI won’t do selfie KYC.
So, as CZ says, crypto becomes the native money for AI, and blockchain becomes the cleanest transaction API for agents.
He also pointed out that “on-chain data verification” isn’t the strongest wedge for AI training — payments + settlement are the killer use case, and fundraising for AI compute is a major theme.
