ABOUT SING FOR PEACE

In commemoration of International Day of Peace 2021 on September 21, The Morung Express invites you to take part in a YouTube singing competition with the theme: The Road to a Lasting Peace.
#SING FOR #PEACE is to celebrate through music the International Day of Peace which was established in 1981 by the UN General Assembly to commemorate and strengthen the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples.

CATEGORIES AND PRIZES:
• Winner: Rs 25,000/-
• Best Lyrics: Rs 7,000/-
• Highest views on YouTube: Rs 5,000/-
• Youngest Participant: Rs 1,500/-
• Oldest Participant: Rs 1,500/-

Terms and Conditions:
1. Entry to the competition is free.
2. The entry is open to all.
3. There will be no age limit.
4. The song must be an original composition sung in any one of the Naga languages and are encouraged to provide English sub-titles.
5. The English translation of the song must be submitted.
6. All submissions are to be in an edited video format.
7. The duration of the video must be between 3 to 5 minutes.
8. There are no limits to the number of performers for each composition/song/video.
9. The video must be submitted along with proof of name, age, address and contact details of the participants.
10. The name and contact details of the lyricist should also be submitted.
11. The video will be uploaded exclusively on The Morung Express YouTube Channel.
12. The video will be uploaded on first come first basis.
13. The video link has to be re-shared exclusively from The Morung Express YouTube Channel.
14. No entry should be uploaded in any other channel during the duration of the competition.
15. Only the views recorded in The Morung Express YouTube Channel will be counted.
16. The count for the highest views category will close at 5:00 pm, September 21, 2021 (Tuesday).
17. The Morung Express will not be held liable for any copyright issues that may arise.

IMPORTANT DATES:
• Last date of submission: 6:00 pm, September 18, 2021 (Saturday)
• Declaration of Results: 6:00 pm, September 21, 2021 (Tuesday)
• Winners must claim the prize with proof of identity on or before October 5, 2021 (Tuesday)
