Newcastle United have a passionate following nowadays, but in the 70s and 80s they also had a football hooligan firm called the Mainline Express after their preference for using trains of the same name to get to matches all over the country. In April 1985 they travelled the short distance of 15 miles to Sunderland fc. The NME attempted to 'take' the Fulwell End of Sunderland. Here's what happened according to two men who were there.
