Описание: Benjamin Adams is a woodwind doubler based in Hertfordshire specialising in clarinet, saxophone and flute. Over the last few years, Benjamin has played at venues including Birmingham Symphony Hall, Barbican Concert Hall and Theatre Royal Drury Lane and has begun his career playing in London’s West End with the London Musical Theatre Orchestra. Since 2019, Benjamin has started teaching both as a private instrumental teacher and as a peripatetic teacher in various local schools.

'Opus 1' is the first of ten pieces commissioned by Keith Perkins in the 1970's as an educational project for jazz clarinet students and sadly are no longer in print.

The original music is just for clarinet (with chord symbols) and Buddy de Franco, recorded them 50 years ago with accompanied by a guitar. As they are no longer available, I thought they should be heard so I made piano accompaniments for them and asked some of my clarinet playing friends whether they fancied performing them.

I'd like to thank Benjamin and ALL the Clarinetists that have taken part as they are not only GREAT friends but have freely given their time to be a part of this exciting venture.
