⚖️ Case Background: Madeline Soto, who turned thirteen on February 22nd, 2024 was last seen on February 26th, 2024. Her mother's ex-boyfriend, Stephan Sterns was arrested on February 28th, 2024, based on CSAM evidence of Madeline found on his phone. Maddie's body was discovered in St. Cloud on March 1st, 2024. The medical examiner determined that she died from strangulation. Stephan Sterns was charged with her murder in April 2024 and faces the death penalty. He will have a trial in February 2025 for CSAM related charges and in September for the murder charges.
