1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.

2. Carefully remove the ink cartridge from the printer.

3. Place the ink cartridge on a paper towel or tissue to avoid staining any surface.

4. Place a few drops of water on a clean cloth and dab the leaking ink with the cloth.

5. Wipe the outside of the cartridge with the cloth to remove any excess ink.

6. Let the cartridge dry for at least an hour before reinserting it into the printer.

7. Reinstall the cartridge into the printer and turn it on.

8. Run a test page to make sure the ink cartridge is functioning properly.
