They are elegantly sculpted by nature. Their presence invokes a feeling of wonder and respect. The Sandhill Crane demonstrates the perfect beauty of nature.
About 14,000 Sandhill Cranes stop on their migratory path at Tennessee’s Hiawassee Wildlife Refuge. They hang around from November through February/March. Unfortunately, the refuge is closed, but there is an observation deck that attracks photographers and others to witness their massive presence. The experience of seeing and hearing these cranes is simply joyful, a unique experience of being with wildlife.
