The KJK Combat Divers (KJ/A-dyk) is a sub-unit within the Coastal Ranger Company which is commando unit within the Swedish Amphibious Corps of the Swedish Navy. Their main task is intelligence gathering behind enemy lines.
SELECTION & TRAINING
The unit recruits candidates from within the Coastal Ranger Company with at least one year of service. Diving, patrol duty and intelligence gathering are the primary lessons during the selection. The specialized training begin when the candidates are selected by the current members of unit. The specialized training continues in the Combat Diver platoons and includes direct action, medic training, reconnaissance and infil/exfil with helicopters. A diver phase follows in the Swedish archipelago as end with a final test.
ORGANISATION
The Combat Divers are organized in teams with 2-12 men.
