The AE86 Tuned setup I used for this WR will also be linked somewhere below for those who dare trying to replicate my run since I know a lot of people request it. Sorry for keeping you all waiting on this next episode otherwise, I had a lot of personal matters come up in the past year so it left me with no time to even play Assetto from the start, let alone edit new videos. I can't say an ETA when the next episode will be uploaded but just know I haven't forgotten, and that I always come back. 😈

Yes, for this video, I did this run on controller as I won't be near my sim rig anytime soon so this was the only way I can get this run done and upload the replay ASAP. So, sorry for the more tame or worse than usual driving this episode. :P I'll make a announcement on the channel or put a note in the description like I did for this episode if and when I'm back on wheel so you all are aware what input method I'm using for each record. I don't have a exact ETA on when the next episode will be uploaded, but know it'll either be on Myogi or Tsukuba. ;)

Today we take the AE86 to Hakone Turnpike. This is probably my hardest WR run yet so far since starting the "AE86 Tuned World Record on every Touge" series due to the high-speed corners and high-speed pace in general of this Touge. I had to redo my suspension and dampers setup SPECIFICALLY for this track. The bumps here would send the 86 snap oversteering otherwise. If that doesn't tell you just how challenging Hakone is for the 86's suspension, I don't know what will.

After adjusting the suspension and dampers to accommodate for the track, that's when I hit the lap you're seeing right now in the video. Not including the time tuning, it only took about 1 hour to hit this time. I'm almost certain a 3:30 is possible if someone practiced it long enough, but I wasn't worried about hitting 3:30 yet for the time being. If someone breaks my WR, I'll make a updated video for Hakone like I did for Irohazaka.
