This song is deeply personal. It has haunted me time and again. It has been a source of light as the World around became dark and darker. Today, when we welcome and celebrate a messiah at midnight who redeemed us through his words, his sufferings, his life and his death, I sing this as a prayer. May we always find a way. May light always shine when the night is darkest. May there always be a ray of hope. May the sicknesses, the losses, the hardships, the scars of the past few months give us humility and strength to go forward. May there always be love and warmth for those who need it.

The song has been recorded at home during the lockdown.
Agnidhra-da, Agnidhra Gangopadhyay, who is a brilliant pianist apart from being an IT professional, composed the piano track as a special request while fighting battles of his own, far away in the USA. This was a plan we had discussed off and on, but finally when we worked on it, the timing became significant. As if this prayer is what we need, what we must, standing here at the end of one year and the beginning of another.
