Описание: I have played this based on the Elvis version from "On Stage, February 1970", with a nod to the Everly Brothers' version at the beginning. Originally written and recorded by the French singer Gilbert Bécaud (who also originated What Now My Love) it was the final single release in 1960 by the Everlys on the London (UK) label. Their first release for their new Warner Bros label, a few months later in 1960, was the massive No.1, Cathy's Clown. The Everlys' treatment of Let It Be Me was quite subdued whereas Elvis souped it up in his famous dramatic style. Recorded in G, as per the Elvis recording, on 20 June 2022, my attempt is - at 3 minutes 7 seconds - considerably shorter (faster) than Elvis's live version.
