Why do we need to add additional domain controller?
1.Services redundancy.
2.Domain authentication improvement in remote Site.

First of all
Check Domain Functional level.
You may fine one of these Domain Functional Levels supported by
Windows server 2012 domain controller.
-windows server 2003
-windows server 2008
-windows server 2008 R2
-windows 2012
1. you have configure its network card server requires static IP address from same subnet
or subnet which is routable within a network.
DNS ip point to a forest root Domain (PDC)
change computer name
2. open server manager and click on "Add roles and features" under Dashboard screen.
-select Active Directory Domain Services role.

Now ! when role is install, you can promote your server to domain controller.
Click on Promote this Server to a domain controller

provide Enterprise Administrator credentials.

Select a site to witch this DC should belongs to and define Directory Services restoration MODE
(DSRM) password for this DC.

Reboot is required. for Change computer name -*-.
It go now!
PROMOTE

Click on install button wait its job and
after server restart you will have additional windows server 2012 r2 domain controller.

Check Dns service.
Check Site replicate
Check Sysvol,netlogon share
and you can enjoy with new DC.
