BE CAREFUL DURING WINTER! Pedestrian Railroad Crossing | Portage Avenue, Minnow Lake, ON

Описание: Watch an extra intermodal train accelerate through a potentially dangerous crossing with no CPKC power! This crossing is located on Mile 76.68 on the CP (CPKC) Cartier subdivision. These signals were installed in early 2020s replacing older WCH signals (which were on the opposite sides of the grade).

As you can see at the end of the video, this crossing leads to a steep staircase, and eventually a beach. The grade also has a big slope just past the tracks. That's why you cannot even see the bottom of the signal on the opposite side in the video. I tried walking past this crossing recently and almost slipped multiple times, so you should go through here with caution if you ever do so in the winter.

But then, would there a reason people would go through here during the snow covered winter anyway???
