How to create depth and dimension.. acrylic pour painting.. abstract art.
For this painting I used a canvas that I prepared with black gesso.
I mixed the 3 colorshift paints..
1 part paint
2 parts Floetrol
1/4 part water
I also had a light copper that I used. My base coat is Artist Loft black mixed 1 part paint to 3 parts floetrol and 1/2 part water..
All paints were to a medium consistency.. a small mound that hesitates a moment.. then disappears.
I used this same black mixture to do the Shmears and it still created beautiful cells.
I tilted and shmeared until I was pleased with the composition..
oh .. and I just love the black silicone mat sent to me by my friend..

It really felt great to paint again.. I have missed the whole process of mixing.. and watching the paint move..
I could watch paint move all day long.
