AntonBlast: Part 21: Ring-a-Ding Boss (No Damage/CRACKED)

AAAAAAHHH! You just hit the ass of this boss: Ring-a-Ding!

This is a giant ravenous monster bell with a puffy purple uvula. Through this (or by the process of elimination at this point), he represents the Sin of Gluttony!

Jewel Ghost had two phases, while Freako Dragon had three. Ring-a-Ding has a whopping FOUR PHASES!!!!

Figuring out how to beat him more easily is possibly. Trying to do it for the CRACKED title has turned out to be one of the most painful, time-consuming things I had to figure out in this game (so far).

For Phase 1, Ring-a-Ding has an RNG assortment of different attacks that you may or may not see in this video.

He snags his uvula to the ground. This doesn't hurt, but its his main weakpoint. You can get up to 4 - 6 hits on him this way until he lets go of the floor.

Slams his whole body to the ground a few times until he gets stuck. He can be hit from below before this happens, or hit on the side while he's on the ground.

Uses gold bells to aim and shoot from the side. Jump over them, crouch under them, or just get right behind them on the edge to avoid their attack.

Uses small silver bells that float for a moment before shooting at you and vanishing. These can be knocked from the air and chucked at Ring-a-Ding for more damage.

Uses small silver bells to try and run you down together after circling around you. These bells then get stunned on their own for more chucking.

For Phase 2, Ring-a-Ding gathers all the Biffs he can't to instantly kill you. He then laughs it off...

But then it turns out that Anton's/Annie's comes through to chase after him into the sky and through outer space.

In this phase, you have to dodge all of the lasers that the gold bells fire at you. They'll either fire at a fixed direction, or aim directly at you.

You will also pass by asteroids. You'll only bounce off the brown ones, but there are also Green Hate ones that hurt.

Here's some advice since this entire phase is scripted with no RNG:

ALWAYS steer left at the spot at 2:24. This will keep you from hitting those Green Hate Asteroids.

After hitting the bricks at 2:44, IMMEDIATELY go all the way to the left. The shots of the small silver bells can hurt, but doing this should always dodge the possibility of getting hit by them AND you dodge the next wave of gold bell lasers.

In Phase 3, you've caught all of the way up to Ring-a-Ding, (heart)beat him senseless, and then you Antomic Bomb all the way back to the ground.

This is ALSO a scripted phase of fixed and homing gold bell lasers. You have to constantly thread the needle to dodge them. Try starting from the left side and move to the right and then repeat. Most later lasers in each wave will appear the further to the right.

Sometimes, I ended up getting hit right as I was falling right through the last wave to end this Phase.

You end up in Phase 4. Why?

Just when you think Ring-a-Ding is done for, he morphs into a horrific eldritch abomination! One that wants to consume everything. The only way to hit him at this point is to stun the small and large silver bells and let them get sucked up by this freak!

Here are more attacks, as this fight is now back to playing like Phase 1 with an RNG pick of them:

The horizontal gold bell lasers are back, but now they can form a whole column!

Gold bells from above that follow you around with lasers from above.

A giant ghost bell that slams on you like Ring-a-Ding does.

A three-way gold bell laser fire. You have to carefully Hammer Bounce against the large silver bells to avoid these lasers as they cycle around.

To finish this boss off, Ring-a-Ding launches THE MOON AT YOU!

Prepare your weapon, and send it right back at him for one last BLAST!!!

Give him more than he can chew with that moon. Gluttony can apply to much more than the size of a meal!

In Brulo's establishment, you started Right, then Left, and then Up through the place.

After beating Ring-a-Ding, there's no other way to go than down...

WAYYYYYY DOWN!

WAY WAY WAY WAAAAAAAAAYYYYY DOWN!

*That's right!*. You're gonna go to Hell! The realm where Satan lies and the last two levels in this whole game! Don't expect Brulo to follow you down there, though you can scare the literal Hell out of him by shooting yourself back up from there.

Lastly, I haven't done this before, but if you keep bugging Nina for stats, she just kicks you out. This is an achievement called "Nina Sucks" (but not as much as her husband that's keeps getting maimed).
