The managing director of the International Monetary Fund has highlighted the importance of structural reforms and trade liberalization amid the political uncertainty in the aftermath of the Brexit vote.
Christine Lagarde made the statement on the last day of the G20 finance ministers' and central bank governors' meeting in Chengdu, China on Sunday.
Lagarde said that structural reforms are important to bolstering economic growth and sharing the benefits, as the reforms can lift both short- and long-term growth.
She added that further trade liberalization is also "crucial" to enhancing productivity and global growth.
