When Esau sold his birthright, the Lord became indignant toward him & his descendants forever (Mal 1:4). Esau went on to marry two Canaanite women—the cursed descendants of Ham (Gen 9:25) & enemies of Israel (Deut 20:17). This nation became known as Edomites (Gen 36:2-3).

After the Maccabean revolt (167-160BC), the Hasmonean Dynasty went on to forcefully convert the Idumeans (Edomites) to Judaism in 125BC. Soon after the Romans would depose the last Hasmonean ruler, Antigonus II Mattathias, with an Edomite ruler: King Herod "the Great."

Antigonus called Herod "an Idumean, a half-Jew" (Antiquities, 14.15). Ptolemy in his writing on King Herod stated the Jews are such by nature whilst the Idumeans were not Jews but after being subdued by the Judeans were called "Jews."

Jesus warned of this group operating in the Last Days. In this episode of the Christian and Conspiracy Podcast with‪@joshmondaymusicandpodcast‬ and Rich Tidwell, we connect the Edomites (Idumeans) to the Synagogue of Satan found in the Book of Revelation.
