62th Liffey Descent, 6th of May 2023. My first Liffey Descent. As far as I am aware, the very first time anyone run it with a Greenland paddle.
Kayak is Wavesport Hydra and a Greenland paddle is from Gram Kajak.
The race is an international Canoe Marathon, and consists of 10 Weirs and 1 portage. It starts within the grounds of the world famous K Club in Straffan, Co. Kildare and finishes 30+ kilometre later at the Garda Boat Club, Islandbridge, Dublin.
Running the race with and under the guidance of Dave Conroy (@lemonmeringuepie3000) Huge thanks to Margaret Farrell and Geraldine Murphy for a training on Liffey river before the race.
