In this video, I finally set the cab on the chassis of my 1940 Ford pickup and build custom steel mounting brackets for both the cab and bed.
Instead of using the traditional wood mounting setup commonly found on 1940 Fords, I scrapped that idea and went with a stronger, cleaner steel solution. This gives the truck better rigidity, longevity, and a more modern hot rod–style foundation while keeping the classic look intact.
This marks a huge milestone in the build—cab placement, chassis fitment, and custom fabrication all coming together. More progress coming soon, so stay tuned and thanks for watching.
