Here is an interesting #opening-lead problem. You open 1C holding 14 HCP and opponents reach #3Nt. You are on lead. The deal came up in the #BBO robot event on 13th September.
A couple of important takeaways from the discussion are:
1. Consider the bidding carefully, build an expectation for partner's hand, and then choose your opening lead.
2. If you or someone who reports a deal to you does not find a prima facie logic in a killing lead that went against you, please be careful not to jump to any conclusions of cheating or malpractice.
