Chess Boxing Demo match and its rules

Описание: 8th National Chess Boxing Championship 2019 was pawned off with a demo match. This video explains the rules with one of the possible scenario.

Here are the complete rules of the tournament:

1. Drawing of lots will be according to weight class.
2. Drawing of colors will be determined by referee by doing a lottery before the match.
3. Each match consists of 3 rounds of chess and 2 round of boxing.
4. Each chess match will have a total of 4.5 minutes each with no increment.
5. Both chess and boxing round will be 3 minutes each.
6. If a player checkmates his/her opponent in the first round, boxing may not be required.
7. Boxing points/k.o. can finish off a match.
8. The entire tournament is played in knockout basis.
9. Each move must be made within 20 seconds, failure to do that will result in the referee counting down for knockout just like in boxing.
10. A win in a match can be earned either via chess or boxing, which means - Checkmate, flag fall, boxing points or knockout in boxing. Draw in chess means, boxing score will determine the winner.
