Описание: Dundrum railway station was one of the original railway stations opened on the Harcourt street line , the station was designed by William dragan - he brought the nearby Mount Anville house and farm ( now a girls school ) beside the stations signal box was a sign for St Columba's College - the station handled goods traffic and was a busy station been beside the main street , goods traffic included Milk from o'connor's dairy & bagged cement for local builders and sugar beet from surrounding farms which were destined for Carlow sugar factory - after the station closed the line was lifted in the station area in 1959 / 60 and after closure Carr Communications took over the station building and addtional buildings were built - construction of the LUAS in the early 2000's brought the old station back to life a cable stayed bridge replaced the embankment which was removed in 1970 for road widening rail overbridge removed in 1960 - apart from the station building surviving infrastructure included in the repurposed station are the subway and the steps on the Dublin platform but only one side of the steps are in use .
