I recently took Ali Manning's Mixed Media Book Challenge, and this is what I made. It definitely challenged me, and I'm glad to have made it because I learned so much this folded spine method. It's approximately 5-1/4"x 7-1/4" and has six signatures of Canson Mixed Media paper. The paper on the cover boards is a piece of a wallpaper sample, and the two spine covers are pieces of burlap ribbon with sewn edges. The signature wraps are made with decorative tissue paper that resembles hand marbled paper. It was laminated on one side with a matte laminate (instead of glossy) to give it strength. There's plenty of room on the inside for this mixed media book to grow.
