This advertisement is from the 1978 launch of the VB Commodore. The theme music is entitled 'This is it'
The VB was the first Commodore produced by Holden. With a smaller, more European body, it was introduced to replace the Kingswood as Holden's flagship family car.
Manufactured for only a short time, between November 1978 and March 1980, the VB Commodore was the Wheels magazine car of the year for 1978, and one of Australia's most popular cars of 1979.
The State Library holds the records, including business records, films and advertising material for General Motors-Holden's and its predecessors dating back to 1854.
