This originally came with sitting with some envy I was feeling for other songwriters in the community having big opportunities to share. Yes, sometimes these "compare and despair" type thoughts creeps in and it's really difficult for me to work with. So I just sat with them. And this song came.
I shared it first in a small circle in Eugene and it was received well, and then I started hearing and imagining the second part - "we are in this together." I so badly wanted to sing this in a big group. And then we did! At Song Village this past weekend. I will post a little video of that as well.
