Here I'm showing is my Breeze that I picked up earlier this spring for $10 from my local thrift store. Came with everything except for the filter. So I completely cleaned this up including the motor since I'm sure someone used it without a filter on, put a new filter and belt on. Now it works amazingly! This was a childhood machine of mine, not this exact model but I remember having memories with one just like it. My grandparents used to have a red Jaguar version of it, I was with them when they bought it new from Target back in 2004. They got tired of using their Kirby G4 because of how heavy it was and how difficult it got for them of switching the nozzle to the hose. There were several vacuums that we considered. At first, I wanted them to get a Kenmore I saw on a Sears magazine which I later founded them one. But it seemed like they had interest in the light blue Hoover Savvy. Other two machines from the magazine that were also considered I remembered being a Dirt Devil Cruiser and a Eureka Whirlwind Litespeed. Instead, they came to town visiting and took me with them to Target to go vacuum shopping. I remember they had interest and considered getting a Eureka Contour but it was already out of stock. Then they considered the Jaguar. I also remembered I tried to convince them to get a Dirt Swivel Glide Vision because I liked it more. However in the end, we settled on the Jaguar. I still remember when I later came over to help them unbox and assembled that machine. So they had it for about 10 years until the motor went bad and we ended up throwing it out because my grandfather chose to not repair it. I actually could've gotten a new motor for it because honestly, it was the best vacuum they've ever had. It definitely outcleaned both of their Kirbys including the Tradition and the Kenmore as well. What really impressed me about it was for a while, the Dirt Devil had some kind of bead stuck on top of the dirt cup where it prevented from twisting back on so it had crappy suction and airflow. But despite that, I remember one day I cleaned with it after vacuuming with the G4, from like one room, it like filled almost the entire dirt cup full of debris. Of course, I managed to take that one bead out and it restored the performance. Other impressions I've noticed as well was how quickly it went through belts and how quickly it broke the handle release. Even this one doesn't manage to stay in it's upright position anymore. One time the Dirt Devil fell down the stairs and it cracked the handle but not enough to actually notice anything. Overall, even though I was critical of Dirt Devil back in the day, my grandparents couldn't have picked a better machine. Well, would've been awesome if they had picked this one up instead because I like the blue color better but the Jaguar will always be the favorite from these bagless manual height adjuster Breeze models. I believe this was a Sears exclusive model but I could be wrong and I believe the Jaguar was a Target exclusive model as well. Nonetheless, I'm happy to have one of these again even if I don't end up finding another Jaguar. For a budget vacuum, I think this is incredible for what it is despite it's flaws. Another impression I've noticed was despite how soft the bristles are, I remembered the Jaguar tearing out of it's cord from the brushroll with how very aggressive the brushroll is. I'd be very interested in taking this back down to my grandparents' house and see how much debris it'd pick up from whatever the renters' vacuum left behind once they move out of there soon.
