The journey can be completed in a single day from the Baltal route, while the Pahalgaon route requires a halt.

Amarnath Yatra: Travel Planning and Expenses
The two routes for Amarnath Yatra, Baltal and Pahalgaon, can be reached by vehicles from Bhagwati Nagar (Jammu).

There are 20 camps in Pantha Chowk in Srinagar, and in case of rain, pilgrims will be stopped there or at Chandrakot (Ramban).

The cost of travel from big cities like Delhi is around ₹5000 to ₹6000, with a possibility of saving ₹1000 to ₹2000.

Pilgrims coming by helicopter from Baltal and Kahalgaon reach the base camp hospital and helipad.

There is a 6 km trek to reach the cave, there is also a base camp hospital at Sheshnag.

Oxygen booths are available every 500-200 meters, departure from Sheshnag to the cave can be done at 4 am.

Amarnath Yatra Registration Process
Medical certificate is required for registration, which can be obtained from doctors nominated by the Shri Shrine Board.
