Описание: A CT, or current transformer, works by using electromagnetic induction to reduce high currents in a primary circuit to a lower, proportional current in its secondary circuit, which can then be safely measured by instruments like ammeters or used by protective relays. The primary winding, often a single turn, carries the high current in series with the circuit to be measured, while the secondary winding has many turns and is connected to a low-impedance load, effectively operating under near-short-circuit conditions. This setup provides accurate, scaled-down current for measurement and crucial electrical isolation between the high-voltage primary circuit and the low-voltage measuring devices.
