UK PM Johnson meets Macron, Merkel, EU at G7

Описание: (12 Jun 2021) British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Saturday held meetings with the leaders of France, Germany, and the heads of the European Union on the sidelines of the Group of Seven (G-7) summit in Carbis Bay.
Brexit was expected to cast a shadow on the summit as Johnson met one-on-one with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron amid tensions over Britain's implementation of U.K.-EU divorce terms.
The wealthy nations’ leaders met for their first gathering since 2019 for a three-day summit that ends on Sunday.
The UK, US, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Canada make up the G-7 nations, but the summit was also attended by the heads of the European Council and the European Commission.
