Scaling Complex Systems by Building on Agile Frameworks with Dave Snowden and Nigel Thurlow

Over the last three years, a small number of people and organizations have been looking at how we can shift to a ‘best of breed’, multi-method approach to agility that moves beyond a simple, defined process into something more co-evolutionary and highly adaptive to provide a better flow of value.

At the heart of this is complex adaptive systems theory, which understands scale not as some form of aggregation and repetition but more like DNA, a process of decomposition and recombination that allows context-specific solutions to be created. This 'best of breed' method is something called Hexi.

In this Scrum Pulse webinar, we are happy to host Prof Dave Snowden, creator of the Cynefin framework, and Nigel Thurlow, PST, co-creator of The Flow System and creator of Scrum The Toyota Way. They will outline the Hexi approach and how it can help practitioners extend their toolkits beyond the constraints of frameworks and discover how to truly scale a complex adaptive system in its own context.
