This lost colonial 1700s homesite here in New Hampshire is an amazing discovery. This old farm was mapped over a hundred years ago and nobody has been able to find it since. I have been out hiking and exploring this area for a couple years now and mapping all the old stone walls as I go trying to figure it out. This is a huge piece of land at around 800 acres so this lost to history farm site had to be out there.
On this day I find the remains of the cellar hole and turn on my Garrett ATGOLD metal detector to see what's in the ground. Real quickly I start digging relics from the 1700s and its obvious nobody has been to this site before me with a detector, which is a great thing because I will Donate everything I dig to the town for historical preservation. Buttons, buckles, draw pulls and more.
