This episode focuses on what a Victory Garden is, who is responsible for “planting the idea” at The White House (Roger Dorian of Kitchen Gardener’s International) and how viewers can create their own garden on a shoestring budget of only $25. Host Joe Lamp’l has demonstrated with his own garden that it is possible to grow a full season of vegetables for very little money. He will share his insights and tips so the viewers can implement some of these cost saving ideas at home.
